Follow your heart...it knows the way.

Growing up, I always wanted a camera and it didn't come until I was 24 years old. My first camera and a Hitchcock rocking chair were the only two things of value that I took from my first marriage. When this camera was stolen from my apartment, it was more devastating than having all my jewelry taken. In that moment of anguish, I was able to realize that my camera has become my key to my soul and from that day forward, I have been completed to becoming a real photographer. Now a camera is always close by my side.

Shortly after this burglary, the first repressed memories started to rock my world. ending a second marriage and leading me to move to California, to study photography. In Californian, their were other memories to stir up my life and I am so blessed to have found Sharon Goodlove, an amazing therapist, who taught me how to rediscover my childhood and to integrate the past with my present life. She was the first to truly help me to clean the preverbal laundry of remembered and forgotten secrets, deeply encased in shame and through her guidance, I have been able to embrace my creative gifts. She always said, "Someday, it will just be a story, Your story and it won't hurt you any more".

Forgiveness, has healed my heart and my soul , allowing me to close the chapter on the past and now too write about my experiences and photography.

Intercession happens when we pray. The Holy Spirit is always listening and he takes our prayers to God and returns with what we need. It may not be what we thought we wanted or what we prayed for. However, when we are willing to live in the moment we can see the richness of each life's lesson. Even the bad stuff and become something good. Our enemy can become are best teachers. "to be born a human and not a snack is a tremendous gift."
